Our Founder

Djoann Fal is a serial entrepreneur and investor passionate about leveraging technology for positive social and environmental impact, particularly in the realm of climate tech.

From a modest background in Southern France, he began coding at age 14 and at 22 moved to Asia to support the expansion of Lazada, one of the largest e-commerce player in the region.

He then co-founded and led GetLinks, a tech hiring marketplace, as CEO, securing $10m funding from prominent investors including Alibaba, 500 Startups, JobsDB, and SEEK.

Under his leadership, GetLinks scaled operations across six countries, building a team of over 100 employees, achieving profitability, and culminating in a successful exit in 2020.

During this time, Djoann also became a recognized voice on topics like the Future of Work and AI Transformation, speaking at major Asian conferences.

Following the GetLinks exit, Djoann founded The Atlas Capital, a climate tech seed investment firm and networking society focused on urban adaptation to climate change.

As General Partner, he invests in sustainability tech innovations aimed at climate-proofing the built environment and cultivates a network of high-net-worth individuals, including entrepreneurs, scientists, celebrities, and politicians, to support green projects.

He is also the author of The Adaptive Economy, advocating for increased investment in green technologies.

His expertise spans venture capital, climate tech, sustainability, entrepreneurship, leadership, fundraising, and investment management.

Kookai Chaimahawong

Co-founder of the SEA Climate Tech Coalition and Executive Director at UBC Sauder’s Centre for Climate and Business Solutions, Kookai leads initiatives that bridge business, policy, and academia to accelerate climate innovation. With a background in venture capital, impact investing, and the UN, she champions cross-sector collaboration to drive systemic change in the climate economy.

Chopper Chuwong

Marketing Operations Manager – A former educator turned climate investor, Chopper leads dealflow and marketing for the Atlas Coalition. He manages strategies and community-building initiatives for the Climate & Frontier Tech Coalition, having supported over 40 events across Southeast Asia and North America since 2022. He is dedicated to scaling climate innovation and fostering cross-sector collaboration.

Ethan Seto

Climate Fellow – Supporting project management, event coordination, and dealflow, Ethan contributes to the Coalition’s operational and strategic initiatives. He assists in planning and tracking projects, organizing events, and evaluating early-stage opportunities. His work plays a key role in advancing the Coalition’s mission to support impactful climate solutions.

Jennifer Xu

Board Advisor – With extensive experience in venture capital and philanthropy, Jennifer Xu currently leads US Development at Epic Foundation, a nonprofit empowering youth and protecting the planet.
